Letter of Appreciation
Every once in a while it is nice to hear that our labours are not in vain. It was particularly rewarding for the directors of GLARA to receive this note from Dennis Tupman, one of the founding directors of the society.
Dear Board of Directors of GLARA ,
I just want to express an overdue appreciation of your work on GLARA, an organization that I had the privilege in helping to start in 1993.
What you have achieved with your website, your newsletter and meetings is remarkable. You are a supreme credit to your standing as a voluntary service society registered under the Society’s Act.
Your website is professional looking as is your chatty and informative newsletter.
I am actually moved by what you are articulating to achieve the 3 main goals of the organization that were originally written and adopted in May, 1993 by those who attended the first meeting of GLARA.
That you have also networked with other organizations such as The Lake Stewardship Society and other lake Society groups is also commendable and efficacious.
I am so sorry that health challenges with me and my wife have made it impossible to join you and take a more active part in the Society; but the movement is in good hands presently, and I wish you continued success.
Best wishes, and again thank you for your outstanding work.
Dennis Tupman, South Green Lake.
