The ice is off the lake and it is time to get started with our spring and summer activities. As you start to bring out the summer equipment please don’t forget to FireSmart your property. Our firefighters are prepared to do all they can to protect our area, but let’s all do our part in keeping our properties as safe as possible. The lake level will probably remain sufficient for our firefighting needs, but the low snowpack and low river levels tend to indicate a province-wide drought this summer. This may result in another season of serious wildfires. Let’s do our best to work together to protect our area.
