You Can Now Pre-Purchase Your 2022-23 Freshwater Fishing Licence
The 2022-23 fishing season begins on April 1st, and freshwater fishing licences are now available. You can purchase your licence for the upcoming season here — just be sure to select 2022-23 as the year.
Once B.C. resident anglers turn 65, they pay a reduced rate of $5 for their annual fishing licence. Since 100% of the revenue generated from freshwater fishing licences goes to the non-profit Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC and the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation (HCTF) – both of whose work directly benefits recreational fisheries – many senior anglers in our province have been asking if they could purchase a licence at full price.
We are pleased to see that our Provincial government has provided the option for seniors to continue paying the full $36 rate charged to residents 16 and older. The Society and the HCTF are hoping more B.C. resident anglers aged 65 and over will choose to pay more for their annual licence, if they can afford it.

Fire Safety Note
Dear Residents,
Recently there was a garage fire on the south side of Green Lake. The post incident fire inspector suspects that the cause was the natural gas wall heater. Several of these are installed around the lake and a second one of the same brand and model was subsequently found to have a defect by a certified gas fitter.
We are posting this email to inform the community that if you have a Williams Furnace Company Model #3003822 direct vent natural gas wall furnace, inspection by a certified professional might be a prudent action.
